Good bye girls I'm gone to Boston...

I've started playing open mics here in Boston. Man! You could play an open mic here every night for two months without hitting the same one twice.

Tuesday I played the Burren in Somerville (easy walk from my apt) with the dogwood vine gourd banjo. Local musician Alexa Woodward dubbed the instrument the gourbanjuitar - good name. Between the gourbanjuitar and the tic tac box kazoo, homemade instruments stole the show :o)

Last night, I took a long subway ride to Java Jo's in Jamaica Plains - a much quieter, more laid back open mic. Took the cyclops CBG and the tic tac kazoo to this one and again stole the show.
